|Title||Cemetery Burial and Account Book of Charles H. Robinson|
|Scope & Content||
This record book is the fourth of four used by Henry Robinson and his son Charles H. Robinson to document burials in their roles as sexton and later superintendent of Mount Moriah Cemetery. This book is inscribed "C.H. Robinson / 18 Water St / Deadwood / So Dak / Aug 1 1918."
The first half of the book records burials in Deadwood's Mount Moriah and St. Ambrose cemeteries from July 22, 1918 to June 4, 1922. Some notations of burials outside of Deadwood are also included. These lists likely doubled as an accounting record for Robinson's undertaking business and include notations of payment received. Records include the name of the deceased, date of burial or death, cause of death, age, and general or specific location of grave. The second half of the book contains the financial records of Robinson's work for the cemetery association from 1918 to 1922.
The record book is handwritten in pencil. It has a red leather cover with a front flap.
