"The Black Hills Illustrated 1904" edited by George P. Baldwin, contains many photos of people and places in the Black Hills. There are numerous old building photos in towns of the Black Hills. Each photo has an explanation and comments from various well-known men. These men belong to the Black Hills Mining Men's Association, as well as others from different associations, such as the Black Hills Pioneer Society.
The cover of the book has been separated and replaced with a heavy, green cardstock paper. Written on that cover reads "Black Hill Illustrated (sic) 1904: Belongs to J. Gerken, Hill City will not be loaned under any circumstances".
