|Title||Cemetery Burial and Account Book of Charles H. Robinson|
|Scope & Content||
This record book is the third of four used by Henry Robinson and his son Charles H. Robinson to document burials in their roles as sexton and later superintendent of Mount Moriah Cemetery. This book is inscribed "C.H. Robinson."
The first half of the book records burials in Deadwood's Mount Moriah and St. Ambrose cemeteries from January 6, 1913 to January 9, 1918. Some notations of burials outside of Deadwood are also included. These lists likely doubled as an accounting record for Robinson's undertaking business and include notations of payment received. Records include the name of the deceased, date of burial or death, cause of death, age, and general or specific location of grave. The second half of the book contains the financial records of Robinson's work for the cemetery association from 1910 to 1915. Sketches of cemetery plot locations at the end of the book include the locations of the graves of Wild Bill and Calamity Jane.
The record book is handwritten in pencil. It has a light brown leather cover.
