Two letters and one envelope from H.E. Dewey to Sol Star, written in November 1905. Dewey was an attorney in Lead, South Dakota. The letters dispute court charges owned by Dewey and are addressed to Star in his capacity as Lawrence County Clerk of Courts. Part A - Letter from H.E. Dewey to Sol Star, dated November 2, 1905 and written on Dewey's professional stationery. Part B - Letter from H.E. Dewey to Sol Star, dated November 4, 1905 and written on Dewey's professional stationery. Part C - Envelope addressed to "Sol Star Clerk / Deadwood / S.D." The return address read: "After 10 days, return to / H.E. Dewey, / Lead, S. Dak." |
