Banquet Program honoring the Deadwood High School Basketball Team for winning the state championship in 1939. The front of the program indicates the banquet was sponsored by the Board of Education, Chamber of Commerce, D.H.S. Alumni Association and the Rotary Club. It was held at the Masonic Temple on Monday Evening, March 20. 1939 at 6:30 pm. The back of the program has a sketch of a basketball player about to dunk a basketball. The inside of the program has the list of speakers and their topics on the left side and a list of the team on the right side, together with the number of letters they had. Mayor Ray L. Ewing was the Toastmaster and Coach Frank Kerner presented letters. The speakers topics were organized around the word TEAM: T-raining Alford T.
