Letter on Deadwood Chamber of Commerce stationary, with a drawing of the Deadwood Stagecoach being pulled by horses across the top with a blue background. There is also a watermarked image behind the text of an 1876-77 image of Deadwood's Main Street. The text on the letterhead reads as follows: Deadwood Chamber of Commerce; Board of Directors- Harold Newell, President Eddie Rypkema, 1st Vice-Pres. E.D. Vercellino, 2nd Vice-Pres. A.G. Cole, Norman Ellis, Ed Keene, Harold Norman Dr. F.S. Howe, Treasurer Nelle Perrigoue, Secretary; Deadwood, The Historic city in the Beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota; 24th Annual "Days of '76"---August 1-2-3, 1947 The text of the letter reads as follows: Dear friend: The 24th annual Days of '76 will be held this year on August 1-2-3 and we hope that you will be our honored guest at the afternoon show on Friday, August 1. Plan to be at the Adams Memorial Hall at 1:00pm that afternoon where transportation to the grounds will be provided. The parade will be featured during the first two mornings of the show, August 1 and 2, and we would like to have your ride in the Pioneer Float which is one of the attractions of the parade. Please fill in the enclosed card and return to us so that proper arrangements may be made for the afternoon performance and parade. Sincerely, Days of '76 Association C.G. Irish, Chairman |
