Image of man standing by large plaque on wall, with caption beneath about new plaque in waiting room at St. Joseph's Hospital to honor people contributing to the hospital since building the new hospital in 1949. Don Thrall, hospital administrator, stands by plaques. Contributors to the nursing home would soon have a plaques there. - Clipping. Headlined A Momento Of August 7, 1939 At The Peoples Store, story includes image of Robert Wadlow and his father. Story discusses photo brought in by Edwin Mueller, and tells the story of Wadlow and father visiting Kulm on August 7, 1939, to promote shoes for The Peoples Store, proprietor Adolph Smith, and being seen by Edwin Mueller. The Peterson Shoe Company sponsored his visit. The original store burned down and was replaced. Wadlow was eight feet and eight and one quarter inches tall and weighed 491 pounds.
