Description |
Ivory colored silk. Robe is open at the front and has loose fitting long sleeves. Body of robe is embroidered with clusters of flowers and butterflies in purple, blue, orange, peach and green thread. Wide band of embroidery on the cuffs of the sleeves. Embroidery shows people in boats, standing and sitting. They are surrounded by flowers and architectural elements. The embroidery repeats around the bottom hem and part way up the sides and over the shoulders. These embroidered areas are outlined by black, green, and blue satin trim. Hem, neck, and front opening are trimmed with black satin. Frog closures down the front. Lined with cream silk. As slits on the sides that go almost halfway up the sides. |
