Description |
Base is an aqua celluloid molded to be slightly larger than the rectangular lid. Base has shallow height with corners and sides sloping away from lid forming larger rectangular base. Back center has a full length hinge to connect that lid and the base. Base sides have raised rectangular centers with raised scroll patterns in center. Front center has a raised rectangular area with etched floral pattern filled with gold paint. At center on top is a tall rectangular domed lid with the front center having a raised rectangular area that rounds the top edge and continues to the top center of lid. Top center of lid etched with floral pattern and filled with gold paint. Bottom has a cavity around the edges with the center being rectangular in shape. Raised text on bottom reads, "Dennison / U.S.A. / U.S. PAT. DES. 121879". Under the lid are two padded rounded pieces with a center crevices covered with white velvet. Inside the lid is a small piece of white satin imprinted win blue text with "MARTIN W. MORRIS / JEWELER / DEADWOOD, S.D.". |
