Description |
A: Silver metal coin. One side is embossed with an eagle eating a snake and text around the outer edge reading "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS". The other side is embossed with a human figure in the center with Olympic rings below it. Text around the outer edge reads "JUEGOS DE LA XIX OLYMPIAD MEXICO 1968." B: Rectangular piece of heavy paper folded in half to form a small booklet. Front is printed with blue ink reading "SEVENTY-SECOND / NATIONAL WESTERN MINING / CONFERENCE / January 30, 1969 / COLORADO MINING ASSOCIATION". Inside is printed with details about the coin which was produced to commemorate the 1968 Olympic Games held in Mexico City. At bottom is "AMERICAN SMELTING AND REFINING COMPANY". |
