Description |
Part A: Chuck wagon. Rectangular wooden body, painted green. Yellow text on sides reads "Newton" and "Fred Johnson / MT. Olive, ILL". Four wooden wheels with metal rims. Front wheels have twelve spokes, back have fourteen. Back wheels are larger than front. Remnants of orange paint on wheel hubs. Break lever on proper right front. Step proper right center, barrel sits on this. Seat at front with foot rest below. Below foot rest is a wooden box. Proper left front is a wooden box with open top. Box, center left side, has a hinged lid that is carved in the center with "HW". Wagon has five wooden hoops that fit through wooden loops on either side of wagon. Shelf and storage cupboard inside wagon at back. The back of the wagon opens to form a table that has a copper colored metal top. Triangular leg with a metal reading "Hansen Wheel and Wagon." Two shelves and five drawers at back of wagon. Many metal hooks on sides of wagon. Wooden plaque at bottom back reads "Newton." Part B: Tongue, hangs from rope under wagon. Parts C-E: Wooden drawers at top, back of wagon, with metal drawer pulls. Part F: Deep drawer with shelf on front and metal drawer pull. Part G: Silverware drawer with three compartments. Metal drawer pull. |
