Description |
Body has a higher back basket and a lower front basket with the sides made of wood board and curved to match the profile with the front two sides ending in points. Sides and basket bottoms painted green. Inside lined with dark green fabric. Outside faced of sides have gold colored scroll work at front points with black and red outline edges near back and in the center of back are two red cherries with gold pinstriped leaves. Attached to underside at back are two curved sections of steel bands with the bands meeting at back ends in a curl. Attached to bottom of curved bands is a square steel rod axle that connects the two sides and ends at each end with cylindrical wood hubs painted black and red. Hubs have ten yellow cylindrical spokes extending out to a wood rim painted black and bound with a steel band. Front underside of basket has two wood arms extending out front and curving downward. Arms painted black with red pin striping along outside faces. Curved ends of arms connect to a cylindrical steel rod axle which connected both arms to black and red wood wheel hubs. Front wheels are smaller and closer together than back wheels. Front wheels have eight yellow cylindrical wood spoke connected to a black wood round rim and having a flat steel band around outside. Back top of basket has a black leather rectangular canopy with four steel U shaped rims for support and an obtuse angled steel arm on each side of top for folding. Sides and back center also have oval cut out windows with brass edges and glass centers. Back center flap of canopy rolls up. Back side of back basket near each end has a black wood cylindrical rod curving up and back to form push handle. Arms for handle have red pin striping. Broken off handle. |
