Description |
Black painted cast iron rectangular base with rounded corners. At center of each of the short sides are formed rounded holes. Attached to top of metal base is a red wood rectangular top with rounded corners. Attached to top of wood block at one end is a cylindrical pillar with a threaded core which has a flat round brass turn knob. Attached at center of pillar is a section of black string which connects to a spring which then connects to a steel plate. STeel plate has a wide horizontal middle bar with rounded ends. Extending form top center of bar is a vertical narrow bar with two short posts at end. Bottom edge of horizontal bar has two steel vertical bars at each end of horizontal bar attaching to brass bracket attached to wood base. Top vertical prong positioned between an inverted U shaped section of brass with double round brass turn knobs on either side of arm. On either side of one arm of the inverted U shaped post are two black cylinders connected together at one end with a black rectangular bar. Center of bar has a brass rod extension with spring around rod. Rod runs through a conical brass post with a spherical top near one end of wood block. End of brass rod is threaded and has a round brass turn knob. Attached to wood base and each end are two brass rectangular plates with rounded slotted screws. One end has them set of to side and the other end and them on either side of conical post with spherical top. Small brass plate attached to surface of wood block with black background with brass and stamped text reading, "J.H. BUNNELL & CO. / NEW YORK, N.Y. / TYPE / 2-3 / MADE IN U.S.A. / OHMS / 150". Underside shows a white rectangular label with black text reading, "ARCHIBALD M HARTLEY / 1073 GALLEY PLACE / COLORADO SPRGS, CO 80915" and "148 OHMS" written in pencil. Label has a purple masonic symbol. Second label is orange and has a rectangular shape with rounded corners and the number "5" written in red. |
