Description |
Army uniform short jacket, sergeant's jacket. Size 36R. Wool material. Jacket collar has 2 pins, pin on the right lapel is gold colored and has the letters 'US' in raised relief on it, pin on the left is gold colored and has a raised image of a castle which denotes the wearer was a member of the Corps of Engineers. There are 2 front pockets, one on either side of the jacket. 1 large pleat on the front of the pocket and can be closed with a button. There are 5 buttons on the front of the jacket for closure. The left sleeve has 2 patches sewn on. At the top of the sleeve is a 8 sided red background patch, there is a 4 blade propeller on the foreground of the patch, the propeller is white in color. This patch is for the US Eighth Army. One inch below the first patch is a 3 striped chevron outlined in black, inner area is army green. One inch above the wrist line is a small rectangle patch background is army green, 2 gold parallel stripes are in the foreground. The sleeve's close with a button. The right sleeve has 3 patches. The 1st patch is approximately 1" from the shoulder seam, round bright blue background, in the foreground are two dice white background with red small circles, 5 on the top dice and 6 on the bottom dice. 2nd patch approximately 1" below the first patch is a 3 stripe chevron black background and a army green stripe foreground. 3rd patch is above the wristband, square in form, olive green background with a yellow gold circle of leaves and berries. The lining of the jacket is army green cotton material. one inside pocket on either side of the lining. The waist line has a buckle on either side of the opening. |
