Description |
Black and white photograph of a group of men, women and children posing at a sawmill. The man fourth from the left is Fred Perry and somewhere in the photo is Burt Newton. Taped to the matte above the photo is a small card advertising The Fish & Hunter Co. with a 1944 calendar on the reverse side. Sawmill was possibly John Hunter's; he owned one of the first sawmills in the Deadwood area. The photo shows many cut boards of various sizes stacked on pallets and on a cart emerging from the mill. |
