"Anderson & Yale No. 12" surveyor's notebook - 1889
This surveyor's notebook was completed between March 16 and July 9, 1889. One of the authors, L.P. Yale was a surveyor for Homestake Mining Company and several railroad companies during the 1880s. Many Black Hills mining companies and Judge McLauglin noted inside.

Autograph Book containing pictograph drawn by Crow Dog. - 1884
Autograph book containing a pictograph drawn by Crow Dog while in jail in Deadwood. Depicts himself on horse chasing and having wounded a warrior from another tribe. Only one other thing in the book--an autograph from Frances E. Yates. Book is divided into sections by colorful pages depicting flowers and butterflies. Only a few other pages have marks on them.
