Description |
Group of eleven men and women in traveling clothes, standing and sitting on a train platform. Small newspaper clipping glued to top front reads: "Forty Years Ago-Sept. 4, 1898. Adolph Fishel will leave for the east today to buy his fall and winter goods. Ellery Knowles left for Omaha. // Deadwood people seemed intent upon Sylvan Lake yesterday, and quite a number went down to spend Sunday. Among them were Misses Kate Kemper, Matie Vaughn, Lenore McConnel, Lillie Power, Maggie Hampton, Hunter and O'Keefe. Mr. and Mrs. George S. Jackson, and Messrs. D.C. Regan, John Wilson, J.S. Denman, John R. Russell and Alex Hampton were also in the party. Handwritten at bottom is "PT 9/4/1938". Handwritten names and information are listed at bottom but difficult to make out. |
