Description |
Part A: Roughly spherical in shape that tapers upwards at the top to a circular opening. Circular foot at the bottom. Brown line around opening. Handle on one side made of white porcelain and curves to form half a heart shape. Inside is white porcelain. Curved spout on one side made of white porcelain. Around outside is painted imagery. Images composed of four panels, two on either side of teapot, each edged with pink flowers and lime green connecting arcs. Two panels have image of four people. One is wearing a pink robe, one is wearing a blue and green robe, the other two are in robes of pink, green and blue. Building components in background. Two of the scenes are of two birds sitting a on a branch bearing a bunch of fruit. Below the birds are two pink flowers, leaves, and buds and fruit of green, orange, and yellow. Between each scene is a circular medallion with a bird and pink flower in the center. The medallion is surrounded by pink flowers, leaves, butterflies, and scrolling vines. Pink, blue and yellow flowers and green leaves painted around the top of the teapot. Part B: Circular lid that is domed at the top. Spherical knob at top center painted gold. Edges of lid flare outwards. Has a tall circular foot at the bottom. Top is painted with two scenes. Images composed of two panels each edged with pink flower and lime green connecting arcs. One scene shows two balding men. The other a pink, orange, and blue flowers with green leaves. Edge of lid is painted brown. Small circular hole at top of lid. |
