"Deadwood Doctor" by F.S. Howe, M.D. - 1900s-1920s
Copy of "Deadwood Doctor" by F.S. Howe, M.D., illustrated by Diana Tollefson. A handwritten inscription in blue ink is present in the interior, reading "To my friend, Dr. C.J. Phillips, from Dr. Frank S. Howe" The book discusses Dr. Howe's remembrances as a doctor in Deadwood from the early 1900s through the 1920s. Howe was also mayor in the 1920s.

Letter Sent to Wing Tsue & Co. - 1885
Letter sent to Fee Lee Wong at the Wing Tsue building in Deadwood. The letter is from a brother-in-law asking for a loan. Both the letter and a translation were found by Larry McDonald in the basement of his mother's home. A. Letter and envelope written in Chinese characters. Envelope has postmark from Portland, Oregon and is addressed to "Wing Tsue & Co, Deadwood, Dak." Also has characters down left side. Letter is entirely written in Chine...
