Small wanted poster promulgated by county commissioners in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on July 19, 1977. The poster seeks the arrest of robbers that targeted the Deadwood to Cheyenne stagecoach on the Cheyenne and Black Hills Stage road. The poster reads: "Reward for the Arrest of Road Agents. / At the earnest solicitation of Gov. Thayer and of other citizens, the County Commissioners held a Special Meeting yesterday afternoon, and agreed to offer a reward of / Two Hundred Dollars! / For the arrest and conviction (or dead body if killed in resisting arrest) of any of the parties who were implicated in robbing the coach and passengers between here and Deadwood within the past sixty days, on the Cheyenne and Black Hills Stage road. / Cheyenne, Wyo., July 19th, 1877 / E. Nagle, / A.H. Swan, / Commissioners." |
