Handwritten certificate documenting the only marriage Rev. Henry Weston Smith performed in Deadwood. It reads: "This certifies that Edward Williams of Laramie, W.T. and Miss Anna E. Card of Welk Co., Colorado Ter, were, this day, united in marriage by me. H.W. Smith Minister of the Gospel. In presence of Jas M. Pividot (?) Wm Howard as witneses (sic) Summit Dist. Gold Run Creek Black Hills D.T. July 4th, 1876"
