Twenty-two pages typed story written by William B. Lull of early Deadwood in which he saved a French-Creole man named Porter who owned a hotel in town and gave Lull the hotel as thanks. The story also discusses Wild Bill and Calamity Jane, the latter who was also saved by the author according to the story.
